Tobacco Classification

Tobacco pricing at the sales floors depend largely on the grade mark that is prescribed to the lot of Tobacco under consideration. The grade mark consists of at least three and up to five symbols to indicate the different physical characteristics of tobacco in the following order.

Course Objective

At the end of the course the participants should be able to:

  • To correctly identify a plant position of given leaf.
  • Differentiate leaf colours.
  • Explain leaf blemishes.
  • Prescribe a class to a lot of tobacco.
  • Maintain good, firm and learn public relations.
